When I arrived found furnace on a code 14 which board defaults to from a code 34. Cycled on furnace and furnace fired up correctly. Checked venting for furnace at outdoor unit just to make sure there was no debris in piping. Cycled furnace on and off to try to re create issue. After a few cycles did find when cabinet door was on door was pulsating a little bit then flames went out. Could not see very well down intake pipe so pulled off intake pipe for now off of furnace , homeowner is going to run a fish tape and vacuume on intake pipe. This is a good test to rule out any blockage in intake pipe. He will let us know if any other problems persist then to start thinking about replacement of the gas valve.
