Performed Precision Heating Tune Up on Gas Fired Bryant Boiler. Burners were very rusted and full of corrosion. Removed Burners and Cleaned. Found the Thermocouple was excessively corroded as well. The Fitting that connects secures the Thermocouple into the Pilot Assembly was cross threaded. When I attempted to unscrew the Fitting it cracked. Installed a new Pilot Assembly with Pilot Tubing and a new Thermocouple. Performed Combustion Analysis on Boiler. Gas Pressure was set to 4.0" WC which was causing excessive Carbon Monoxide during combustion. Adjusted Gas Pressure Down to 3.1" WC to improve Combustion Levels. Checked Expansion Tank to ensure it was not filled with Water. Visual inspection of the Hot Water Heater shows that it was manufactured in 10/2008. Residential,Water Heaters have an average life between 10-12 Years. Due to age, recommend replacement of the Water before any issues.
