Heat Tune Up for 80K BTU natural gas furnace. Replaced filter. Cleaned flame sensor. Checked hot surface ignitor ohms and watched for hotspots during start up. Checked burners and heat exchanger. Measured gas pressure. Measured temperature rise. Checked thermostat operation and all wiring. Opened bypass duct on humidifier, checked pad and tested operation. Combustion test: passed. Checked all electric motors and components. 10 uF blower capacitor reading 9.21 uF. Strongly recommend replacement. ST-5 Expansion tank for hot water heater is internally compromised. Water heater Relief valve is opening from time to time. Strongly recommend replacing expansion tank. Furnace is operating well at the time of this maintenance but the weak capacitor could fail causing a no heat/ no cooling situation. Relief valve of hot water heater will continue to open periodically if expansion tank is not replaced I attempted to call Jay to discuss recommended work but He did not respond. Left emailed
