Performed Precision AC Tune Up on system. Replaced 14x24x1 Air Filter provided by the homeowner. Inspected electrical components on indoor and outdoor units. Found Panel on outdoor unit had no screws in it and had slid down, exposing the controls at the outdoor unit. Capacitor was very rusted and in poor condition due to being exposed to the elements from the panel not being securely in place. Also found Blower Motor Capacitor Was testing below its rating. Cleaned Drain Line and condensation pump. Filled and Tested operation of pump. Pump is operating but seems to not be pumping as strong as it should, and the motor sounds weak. Found a small kink in the discharge vinyl tubing, and removed clamp to straighten the tubing out. Tested refrigerant levels and rinsed outdoor coil with water. Refrigerant Superheat levels aren’t higher than recommended indicating the system may be low on Refrigerant. Reviewed recommendations/estimates with homeowner. No repairs performed at this time.
