Service call that the Gas Furnace was not operating. Upon arrival, found system was at temperature set point of 70 Degrees. Turned Heat up at the Thermostat to test Operation. Cycled system several times and found Burners were intermittently firing off completely. If the Burners do not fully ignite the system will shut down in Safety. Recommend removal of Burners and cleaning properly. Removed Burners and Cleaned. Cleaned Orifices on Manifold to ensure they were not blocked. Removed Flame Sensor and Cleaned. Replaced 16x25x1 Air Filter. Turned System back on and cycled to test operation. Due to age of Gas Furnace/AC system (18 Years) recommendation is to begin planning/saving for replacement. Average life of a Gas Furnace/AC system is between 15-20 Years. Homeowner signed up for Service Membership.
