Service call that there was an odor coming from the unit. Customer noted that the smell seems to be stronger at night. Proceeded to Air Handler to inspect unit. Found Air Filter was dirty. Inspection of the Indoor Coil shows that there is a large amount of buildup and dirt on the inside of the Coil. Removed the Electric Heat Kit and found a dead mouse inside the unit. Removed Mouse and installed a new 20x24x1 Air Filter. Put system in operation to test for smell. Turned system up so the Electric Heat would also run. After system ran customer noted that she could not smell any odors. The coil being dirty could also be causing the Smell. This will also effect the performance of the system. In addition to the Coil cleaning, also recommending a REME Air Purifier be installed on the system which can help reduce odors and particulates in the Air and in duct system. Included an estimate for the Coil Cleaning and REME installation.
