The first application of Duct Armor was applied to all underground ductwork in Carol Stream, IL. This process involved coating the internal surfaces with a protective layer, sealing potential leaks and improving airflow efficiency. The protective barrier will prevent future corrosion and moisture damage, ensuring long-term durability of the system. Additionally, this application reduces contaminants that could enter the air through damaged duct linings. This treatment was carried out following standard duct rehabilitation protocols to restore the system’s integrity.
All underground ductwork was thoroughly cleaned, followed by the application of trenchless spincast mortar to reinforce and seal the ducts. The furnace box and all register vents were also repaired using mortar to ensure structural integrity and prevent future leaks. This process not only strengthens the entire duct system but also enhances airflow and durability, ensuring long-term performance and efficiency.
