Customer called in about his basement flooding last week and believes it was water softner system that caused it. We installed system 2 1/2 years ago. There was water on top of the containers. Customer has water on for the house and also system is not bypassed. Forced regeneration on system and found no leaks at this time. Explained to customer that if system did cause massive flood, water would not stop and be continuously leaking until system is bypassed. Checked surrounding pipes and water lines in basement and found no active leaks. While checking basement bathroom, found specs of trash debris. Asked customer if they use the basement shower. Customer stated no, the bathroom doesn’t get used hardly ever. Informed customer that he may have experience a backup in his sewer line and receded after awhile. City could’ve possibly jetted city sewer lines and may have caused his house to back up. Customer is not currently experiencing any back up at this time. Customer will contact the cit
