The service tech Mike was great. He did a great job a few weeks ago when he came and priced the system and a very clean and efficient job for the install.
replaced both condenser fan motors and the main control board on the mini split that provides cooling for the IT room. After replacing the parts I turned the unit on tested it in cooling. Unit had a proper temp split and is currently operating properly at this time.
arrived on site to diagnose mini split that is currently showing a alarm u8. The alarm code means â€œcommunication failure with outdoor fansâ€. After trouble shooting I found f5 fuse was blown I checked Mitsubishi tech support forms and it states â€œ replace control board and both condenser fansâ€. I was not able to get in contact with parts distributor to check availability of components. I will need to call and check In the morning.
Arrived on site to the same issue with the same rtu. Unit was tripped on ignition lockout fault. I reset the unit and it began to operate properly, I checked the grounds for the entire unit. At this point I believe the control board is creating our intermittent issue. I canâ€™t Guarantee it will fix the issue. I will be creating the quote in the morning once the part store opens.
This quote is for replacing the inducer motor assembly on the rtu located on the south east corner of the building. Serial number is 0899G20467. Part is currently in stock, but canâ€™t guarantee it is when quote approved. This quote includes all parts and labor. Inducer motor part # 50DK406815 1.5 hours of labor
Upon arrival I spoke Robert the unit that I reset yesterday was not operating again. The unit was again locked out on â€œ ignition failure â€œ Which means there was no spark or no gas. I reset the unit and it fired up and operated fine with no issues. I turned the unit off and pulled the burners and cleaned them. I also pulled the flame sensor and cleaned it, turned the unit back and flame sensor was sensor 4.5 micro amps. I also checked the incoming gas pressure and it was 7. Inches of water column, and while firing it dropped to 6.7. The gas pressure out of the gas valve was 3.6 inches of water column. I reset the unit many times and I was never able to recreate the issue. The unit was running perfect for the 2 hours I was here on site.
Arrived on site and spoke with Robert. He informed the 2 front rtuâ€™s werenâ€™t operating properly. I diagnosed both units and the first rtu had a failed inducer motor. The second rtu had a ignition fault, I reset the unit and it fired up and began to operate properly. I reset the unit multiple times trying to recreate the issue. I created a quote for the inducer motor replacement.
Checked to see if there was water pressure at wall, customer was unhappy stating that weâ€™ve worked on there appliances before and didnâ€™t know why we took the call. Did not charge service fee
Tested 3 backflow assemblies , all yielded passing results .
Performed the preventive maintenance for the heating season. I checked the amp draw of the blower motor and inducer motor, I made sure that the blower wheel were in good working condition, I took readings of the capacitor to make sure that it was within the manufacturer's recommended tolerance, I looked over the heat exchanger to make sure there were no cracks or holes, I took a temperature split reading and I changed the filters.
Replaced the failed ignition board on package unit. Checked to ensure system is operating at proper factory specifications. The unit is operating as designed.
Upon arrival found unit locked out in ignition fault lockout. Found that ignition board has failed. Will get customer price to repair board.
Performed a full heating inspection. Checked all wires and safety switches. Performed a full heat exchanger inspection. Heat exchanger passed all test. Cleaned indoor unit. Unit is operating within factory specifications at this time.
Check paint booth for no heating. Found brunt and melted wire's inside motor compartment. Also notice the cooling wheel for motor windings is shattered. The motor is a special design for this paint booth. The motor will need to be order from paint booth manufacturer.
Upon arrival the customers kitchen sink was backing up. I cabled the line out and ran water while watching it drain. I checked for leaks after and everything tested good.
Upon arrival found belt and condenser fan motor making squeeking noise replaced A47 belt and second condenser fan motor and blade unit now operating well.
