We woke up to a very cold home due to a malfunctioning Lennox heating unit that was 5 years old. Approximately two hours after I placed the trouble call to LBA a repairman was at my front door which was an excellent response. I chose to deploy the Platinum service offered by LBA along with a warranty replacement on a pressure switch. We were up and running by mid afternoon before the start of the Chiefs/Texans playoff game at Arrowhead.
Estuardo came to check my furnace today, and like all the other technicians from LBA, he was great! Friendly, efficient, and obviously knows what he is doing. I am so happy I chose LBA when I had my furnace replaced, they are all wonderful to do business with!
I got a “heads up” phone call when the service tech was in transit to my home. He arrived when he was expected and worked diligently until done. He was thorough in his work, reviewed his findings with me and made sure I understood both the issues uncovered and my options for addressing them. He made earnest recommendations, but I never felt pressured to purchase the most expensive fix.

I performed a safety and maintenance inspection on the Lennox SL280 furnace system. During my inspection I discovered that the inducer has a possible leak at the seam between the outlet and flue piping but there was no active leak at this time and a picture is included for reference. Also, the inducer VEC tested right at tolerance. I informed the customer that the VEC will likely need to be replaced next year. Additionally, the customer purchased a tune up on the humidifier and renewed their P3 membership choosing the annual recurring standard P3 option. The customer also has a Sanuvox UV Sabre bulb but didnâ€™t want to replace the bulb and didnâ€™t show interest in maintaining that equipment at this time. Thank you
Couldnâ€™t get the clog out and having Justin come out to try to get the clog out of the shower tub. Not collecting any money do to the job not being complete.
Upon arrival navien water heater set to 160 deg. Was not keeping up with hot water output to dishwasher as shown the dishwashers temperature display. Checked lines and settings and determined internal check valve had failed allowing cold water to back feed into return line. Replaced check valve. Difference of about 15-20 degrees were produced from water heater. Dishwasher display screen would still intermittently show a low temperature notification. After much testing it was noticed that a delay or stutter would happen occasionally at the dishwasher when calling for water. This causes excess cold water to come into the line by delaying the heaters heating process and lowers the output temperature. Recommend dishwasher functions be assessed. Recirculation line isolation valve added for testing and by pass purposes
I performed a safety and maintenance inspection on the Ruud UO6VA furnace system. I found the furnace system to be operating within the manufacturers tolerances at this time. Additionally, the customer purchased a humidifier tuneup as well as renewing their P3 membership. The customer chose the annual recurring standard P3 membership option. I also spoke with the customer about changing their air filter more frequently to extend the life of their new equipment. Thank you
Arrived on site to address lack of heat in dining area. Manager on site thought the units were now working. Upon investigation of units, RTUs 2&3 heating modes were locked out due to too many attempts for heat with no flame proofed. Units were firing properly, but the flame sense rods were reading 0 and <1 mADC after cleaning them. The flame rods must be replaced in order for the units to provide heat. There currently are no flame rods (Lennox P/N: 49M84) in the metro area for these units. The sensors must be ordered and expected delivery, if ordered now, is next Monday/Tuesday. Replace the 150-40 limit switch and 10 mfd blower capacitor We replace the blower motor capacitor in the high limit safety switch and then tested the system in heat mode, allowing it to run for 15 minutes. The system never turned off and is running properly at this time.

Upon arrival, the customer informed me that the Payne PG9MAA furnace system wasnâ€™t operating and the fault code displayed was 31. After further investigations, I discovered a fault within the combustion pressure sensing system. The pressure switch was failing to close when the inducer motor was operating. I cleaned all tubing and ports and the system is now temporarily operational. The problem is likely to reoccur unless repairs are made. I recommended to the customer that we replace the pressure switch and all barometric tubing with the bronze level HM11B basic combustion pressure sensing system renovation repair option which I have included an estimate for. I also found there to be corrosion or possible water damage to the IFC board and I have included a picture for reference. The customer stated that they will be selling the residence in the next few months so at this time they are not interested in equipment replacement. Water piping making noise. After inspection found the water pressure on newly installed pressure reducing valve was elevated . Adjusted pressure valve. And checked operation. Warranty no charge.

Performed a restriction evaluation, Minimal airflow in certain rooms of basemen. Performed a CFM supply reading in the rooms adjusted restriction and each supply in basement reading 110Â° through supply line . The rooms are heating properly and tested out great. Customer is happy. Would like A water softener estimate.
Installed 800 April aire steam humidifier
Checked the Lennox Rtu serial 5612H00719 for no heat complaint. Found the flame rollout switch tripped. Inspected the exchanger and found no rust out or cracks. Pulled the inducer assembly and checked for a blockage. Found part of a old wasp nest in the inducer outlet causing a slight restriction. Cleaned the outlet and tested the unit in heat. Noted to the customer that the heat exchanger has a slight soot build up from the restriction that should clean up from normal use. If the rollout switch trips again the heat exchanger will need replacing.
