Arrived for furnace check on two systems. Started on upstairs system and static pressure is ok. Heat exchanger is good. Carbon monoxide test was 0ppm. All electrical is in range. I changed filter and humidifier pad. Blower has some dust build up. The main floor system static pressure is ok. Heat exchanger has some hot spots forming. Carbon monoxide test was 0ppm. All electrical is in range. I changed filter and humidifier pad. Both humidifiers are working properly. Systems are running at departure. Thanks for choosing LBA. Happy holidays!
Arrived to do a performance maintenance. Set up for combustion analysis temperature split and static pressure tests. Verified operation of all mechanical and electronic components of the furnace. Checked blower for cleanliness and to see if there is any play in the bearings. Checked systems heat exchanger to ensure proper venting of flue gas. Verified operation of the humidifier. Found that the humidifier panel is coated in calcium buildup. Found that the uv system is due for its replacement Uv bulb. Spoke with homeowner about the system. With homeowners approval renewed their membership and replaced the humidifier panel, as well as replacing the uv bulb. Furnace humidifier and Uv system are all operational at this time.
Arrived to do a performance maintenance. Upon arrival found that the steam humidifier is not operational. Opened the unit up and started diagnosis with the air of Aprilaire tech support. Determined the humidifiers control board and the control panel need replaced. Coordinated with office to provide repair and replacement solutions. Went for a maintenance call today for heat. Tested for static pressure system is passing when in heat. All electrical components are passing for manufacture specifications. Did a combustion test is within range. Inspected heat exchanger no cracks/leaks were detected. Checked temp split and is passing for specifications. Did replace filter for customer. Cleaned flame sensor and pressure switch hose. Checked humidifier water panel and needed to be replaced customer approved.System is up and running before departure. Arrived to do a dual system performance maintenance. Set up for combustion analysis temperature split and static pressure tests for each system. Found that the main floor system is operating with excessive static pressure. Verified operation of all mechanical and electronic components of each furnace. Checked blowers for cleanliness and to see if there is any play in the bearings. Found that the main floor system is collecting dust debris. Checked each systems heat exchanger to ensure proper venting of flue gas. Verified operation of the humidifiers. Furnaces and humidifiers are operational at this time.
Completed furnace, maintenance and inspection. I cleaned flame sensor and wiped down furnace. I checked components and amp drawers. I tested air pressure and temp splits. Air filter needs changed out as soon as possible. Blower wheel is starting to build up dust. Once filter is changed out the air pressure on the system will drop down quite a bit. Furnace is operating within manufacturer specifications at departure.
Duct cleaning, blower wheel cleaning, install April aire humidifier free of charge.
Went for an out on system. Pressure switch wasn’t closing. Did clean port and hose. As well noticed inducer was running weak. Checked capacitor was failing. Did replace and system is up and running. Checked amperage for blower and inducer they are passing. Cleaned flame sensor. Did a combustion test is within range. Inspected heat exchanger no cracks or leaks. Today I did a full heating maintenance I changed filters and took amp draws on all working components. At this time all units are running as should.
Arrived for furnace check today. Static is passing. Heat exchanger looks good. Carbon monoxide test was 0ppm. All electrical is in range. There is a good temperature rise. Humidifier is working. 12-8-25 Main studio Return visit to install ignition control board. I found bad on Saturday 12-6-25 The gas valve, on this unit was replaced on 12-3-25. I did find the pins on the boards plug for the gas valve, very loose on the backside solder I was not getting power to the gas valve either. After install the board I cycled the unit up on the roof about four times with the jumper. Also, I made adjustments to the blower motor, running on medium speed with a temperature rise about 100°. Adjusted blower speed on high speed and currently I’m about 75° rise Replaced all the covers and went downstairs and ran the unit by the thermostat. It is working at this time. 12-6-25 OT Got a call last night that the heat was not working again in the front studio. I spoke to Sarah and her husband try to walk through some checks however it did not work. This morning, I checked the Lennox rooftop unit for the front studio. Found the board led blinking twice, indicating a bad ignition board. I did check the power to the new gas valve it did not have power. I also checked and cleaned the igniter rod and the flame sensor and checked and tighten electrical connections. I did get the burners to come on once after multiple tries. We need to pick up a new board if available on Monday morning and install it. Sarah was in the store this morning. I told her she could put a space heater in there but don’t get carried away. It’s not gonna completely heat the space up just kind of temporary air in there until we get back out here Monday and most likely that board should be in stock.
