Poor service

Mud was left covering my front step and welcome mat. Not sure why you guys call it a tune up when all u do is look for stuff. Not sure what would be considered a tune up but when knocking the dust of my motor blade “not included extra charge” was then left that way. Not sure a membership is worth 2 yearly checks when is not to keep things running but to make more money.

Who? When? What?

I was the point of contact for the service call. I was not notified of the arrival day or time of the technician. I showed up- he was there and had begun working- we talked briefly about the units and I proceeded inside he returned to the roof. He didn’t find me afterwards to share the report, he didn’t tell me what he performed during his inspection and service. I don’t receive a write up or invoice. I have no idea what he did today….i cannot give stars on the below because I was not given these things.

Really sad

I really trusted this company but not anymore. I paid a lot of money ($1600) to clean my drum of my furnace and my ducked work. They erroneously unplugged a wire that then later caused my ac to not work. Then I had to pay them $866 to fix it. I feel angry and lied to.

Upon arrival turned main water off, cut out and replaced PRV and set pressure. After PRV was installed installed new Novo water softener, installing ball valve on inlet and outlet side, outlet side was ran directly into polyphosphate filter, then looped back into system. Tested for leaks by turning main water back on me airing out lines, after re-pressurizing the system ran softener through regeneration cycle and went over softener details. All good no leaks and all fixtures are working properly.

During this visit I discovered that there was no primary voltage at the condenser (cu#5). I checked the breaker box and found the breaker for that condenser was in the off position. I turned the breaker back on and thoroughly checked the condenser. The unit is cooling properly. I cycled the unit several times and could not get the unit to trip the breaker again. At this time cooling has been restored and the condenser is functioning within the manufacturer’s specifications. Thank you, Jon Tech notes: Carrier (cond), system#5, m/n 24ABB348A510, s/n 0217E19560, cond split 17 (103-85), comp amps 9.93 (13.1), odf amps 1.41 (1.45), odf bearings no side play, spins freely and no oil, DT 19 (73-52), 206v 3ph, odf cap 4.93 (5uf), inrush 30.9, 60hz confirmed, contactor pristine, no loose wires, unit sounds ok.

5/17/24 - Completed a full cooling maintenance on one Lennox RTU. Filters were changed, cleaned out unit, took amp draws, and took temperature splits. Overall, the unit is only a couple years old so everything is still in great condition, the unit was running well, and there were no issues found at this time.

Upon arrival I began the AC tune up. I first checked the static pressure and it was passing at .4 with a maximum rating of 1.0. I did a CFM count on the duct work to make sure it has enough air coming I and moving out. This home has a 3 ton AC unit which is a total of 1200cfm. The return has plenty of airflow coming in. We are a little short on supply but it’s cooling the house properly so I believe it will be ok. The temperature split was at a perfect 18 degrees. Blower motor running amps within specs and blower wheel looked clean. He told me he has us do a blower pull & clean within the last couple years. I cleaned the outdoor unit with water to remove all the cottonwood from the condenser and then I took my refrigerant charge reading. The charge looks good to me with a subcooling temp of 9 degrees which is what the manufacturer calls for on this unit. I tested the dual run capacitor and it was good on both sides. The running amps on the fan and compressor were also within specificat

During this visit I checked the primary voltage to the outside condenser then checked the inside head units (qty2) that utilize the single outside condenser for error codes. The inside head units were not displaying an error code. The outside condenser was checked for error codes as well before cycling the power off. The condenser was turned off and the inverter was discharged completely then the interior fuses were checked on the control board and the inverter board. I attached pressure gauge to check the refrigerant level and traced the voltage back to the power control board once powered up again. The condenser flashed a pfc fault code and the pfc was identified and checked. There is evidence of excessive heat on the board. I used a leak detector to check for where the refrigerant leaked out from the system. I contacted Mr. Britton and relayed to him my findings. Which are that the refrigerant pressure is too low to properly check for a leak at this time. The Pfc

Upon arrival I talked with the homeowner about her new SmartAC system I would be installing today. We went over all the options and where I placed the sensors downstairs in the basement. We were out here yesterday adding new returns and supplies to the home and she can already feel the difference in the home which is awesome! I had her download the SmartAC app and showed her how to schedule appointment and ordering new filters when needed. If you have any questions or concerns please call us immediately! Have a great weekend!

Checked all operations in the cooling mode and inspected the furnace filter. Checked the static pressure and found it was passing. Checked all electrical and refrigerant components in the system. Today we found the fan motor was leaking oil and unit outside was very dirty. Talked with customer and upon their approval we extensively cleaned the unit.

Arrived for AC Maintenance. Static pressure was borderline, so changed filter, checked vents and dampers. All electronics in furnace and ac within range. Blower wheel clean. Outside coiled cleaned. Heat exchanger and evaporator coil clean. Refrigerant levels good. -Ren

Completed A/C tune up, all aspects of system tested good aside from refrigerant charge being low. Observed system run and sitting idly with no present leak on gauges, determined that due to the age of unit it was slightly low from service hook ups, added 12oz of 410A and system was as correct pressure and subcool.
