the guys really knew what they were doing! Great service very personable!
Upon arrival the customers master bathroom sink was backing up. I had to pull the p-trap apart and clean it out. I also cabled the line and put everything back together. I began running gallons of water and everything tested good. Customer also had a leak going into the basement when water was being ran. They tried to use flex seal to stop the leak. I presented pricing on replacing and customer wants a quote on the work for now.
Arrived to find system extremely dirty. Cleaned indoor unit. Checked all wires and amp draws on all mechanical parts. System is performing within factory specifications at this time. Also replaced thermostat with WiFi thermostat. Left paperwork for thermostat with customer. Performed test in the heating and cooling mode. Unit is now operating within factory specifications at this time.
Cleaned out housing of air handler and humidification system. Found large traces of microbial growth in both the humidifier housing and the air handler heating and cooling system. Cleaned up as much microbial growth as possible but the microbial growth will come back unless a uv system is installed. The current uv system is unable to keep up with the moisture the house provides. Emailed customer two different options on indoor air quality products to help the customers with humidity issues as well as air purification issues. Checked all operations of the system in emergency heat. System is operating within manufacturing specifications at this time all heat strips were pulling a proper amperage as well as the air movement system.
RAT 57 SAT 118 after repairs Returned to complete refrigerant leak search. We were unable to find any obvious major leaks. While we were attempting to run the heat pump to verify existing refrigerant levels the furnace equipment kept shutting off due to the Y losing signal. We discovered that the iComfort thermostat while in operation was going to a blank screen and then to the initialization process. After speaking with Lennox tech support it was determined that the iComfort thermostat was failing. We presented repair options to the customer for both the thermostat and the refrigerant levels. The customer chose the HJ7B Basic Refrigerant System Renovation and the HH6B Basic Comfort Control System Renovation. Work completed included bringing refrigerant to proper levels, administering a direct inject easy seal, replacing iComfort thermostat, and performance and safety testing. After work was completed we found all equipment to be operating within the manufacturers tolerances. Additio
126.75 lmpwc Upon arrival the customer informed me that their outdoor unit was frost covered and they believed it was making a funny noise. I started at the electric air handler to verify we had proper airflow at which time I found the air handler shutting itself off due to fault code E312 “the blower cannot provide the requested cfm due to high static. Check filter and duct systemâ€. I found that the Merv 16 filter was heavily restricted from dirt and other debris. I spoke to the customer about my findings and they chose to replace the filter at this time. I then made my way outside to find the outdoor unit frost covered and the compressor was energized and running. I found that the control voltage that operates the contactor was not present due to there being no signal for heat but the contactor itself was stuck in the closed position which allowed high voltage to pass and energize the compressor. Since I was already there I tested the run capacitor serving the compressor and I
Left a quote for a customer supplied kitchen faucet to be installed.
I performed a safety and maintenance inspection and found a couple different faults within the system. First I found the voltage enhancement component to be operating outside of the manufacturer tolerance. Second I found the system to be operating with a low refrigerant level. The system is only two years old so I performed a leak search on the indoor coil. I found a leak and determined that it was non repairable. I presented options for repairs/coil replacement to the customer but it was over the phone and he requested that I send estimates via email for the different levels of repair. Customer also purchased a heat transfer media chemical cleaning and renewed his P3 membership. $428.75 warranty credit to go towards the indoor coil.
