During main customer passed static test but failed cfm test customer isn’t interested in a solution. Checked out the rest of the furnace everything else looks good nothing in need of attention
Furnace maintenance CO readings 0PPM, cleaned flame sensor, inspected burner compartment, inspected gas valve and pressures, inspected flue pipe, inspected draft inducer motor, inspected limits and safeties, checked all electrical connections, inspected pressure, switch, inspected heat exchanger, inspected blower wheel and blower motor, inspected circuitboard, tested amp draws, checked filter, cycled unit for proper operation
Arrived to do a performance maintenance. Started inspection outside and verified system refrigerant charge. Verified operation of all mechanical and electronic components of the condenser. Found that the condenser capacitor is performing well outside factory specifications. Moved inspection inside and measured a temperature split between return and supply air. Measured power consumption of the blower motor and checked system for cleanliness. Found that the blower wheel is heavily coated in dust and debris. Performed a static pressure test and found that the system was operating well outside the rated maximum static pressure. System is rated for .8 static pressure and is performing at 1.3. This is going to cause the system to wear and tear faster. With homeowners approval reached out and scheduled a supervisor visit for tomorrow afternoon. Spoke with supervisor for solutions I can perform to rectify the systems static pressure. With homeowners approval reached out to a supervisor to provide a diagnosis on the systems high static pressure. Removed the filter from the system to relieve as much static pressure as possible until the supervisor can provide the diagnosis. Air conditioning system is functioning at this time.
Drop off delivery of filter 16 x 20 x 1.
Heating maintenance. Checked all task. Everything well within range. Recommended new pack of 16 x 20 dynamic filters for customer. Customer excepted. Made sure system ran before leaving.
