System was not running when I arrived. I found the thermostat was set to only one stage of heat and cool instead of two stage which would match the system. I found the W-2 wire not hooked up at the thermostat as well. I fixed wiring and reprogrammed the thermostat. Heat pump kicked on, but the heat strips did not. I went through the system and checked all the wiring and separated the wiring to test voltage. Voltage from the thermostat was reading only 14 Volts. I changed out the thermostat and then the system ran in both stages for heat strips and heat pump. System is operating as it should departure.

Heat pump was shutting off after only five minutes of operation when I arrived, which was causing the indoor heat kit to run way too long. After inspecting the full system, I found that a setting needed adjusted on the outside unit and after adjusting that to the correct setting The heat pump ran for over 30 minutes without any issues.

Went for a heating tune up. Inspected heat strips no wear and tear. As well for evaporator coil is clean. Heat strips and blower are passing for amperage. Did notice condenser unit was off. A wire wasn’t making full contact tightened it. Refrigerant charge is passing. Temp split passes on system. System is up and running before departure. Thank you for choosing LBA services-Johann

Arrived to do a performance maintenance. Set up for combustion analysis temperature split and static pressure tests. Verified operation of all mechanical and electronic components of the furnace. Found that the system is not wired for heat pump operation. Checked blower for cleanliness and to see if there is any play in the bearings. Found that the blower wheel is coated in dust debris. Checked systems heat exchanger to ensure proper venting of flue gas. Performed an electronic gas leak search. Found a fitting close to the water heater that is leaking gas. Furnace is operational at this time.

After checking the system and teaming up with Robbie, we believe the outdoor control board is the issue.

Customer called for no cool. Upon arrival customer turned unit on for technician to listen to. Compressor is internally damaged and making very loud noise and not moving refrigerant. Trying to get distributor to honor manufacturer warranty on unit replacement as this model is discontinued. Customer is aware we are actively trying to find him a suitable replacement and will contact him once we know what is available and what we can do. We did deliver some temporary units to customer for the mean time.
