Upon arrival I began by removing the fan motor and module on the AC. I replaced those parts with a new fan motor and new module and then wired everything back together. I tested the system after making the repair and the system is now running properly. The only issue I have is that my vapor saturation is just barely above freezing. The vapor saturation is basically the temperature of the evaporator coil that sits above the furnace. I believe this is due to bad airflow but we have a supervisor coming out to check the CFM count and the static pressure. If you have any questions or concerns please call us! Have a great week!

For this job, I was diagnosing an issue that we have been looking at over the past few days. The outdoor condensing unit is turning off because it’s been tripped in the thermal overload. This is because the fan outside is not operating. We need to replace the fan and the relay that controls the fan speed. Both these parts of been ordered. Customer signed up for a family club plan so we are covering the install. A supervisor needs to come out and check CFM readings to make sure we’re getting good airflow to the system. Lack of airflow due to high static pressure and dirty filters is probably the reason this fan went out in the first place and if it is not fixed we will have further issues down the road .

Upon arrival the AC was not cooling the home. I began downstairs at the furnace to check the blower motor and filter and to test the static pressure on the system. I found the blower motor to be very dirty and I would recommend doing a Pull & Clean on the the blower wheel and squirrel cage. The filter was also very dirty and I spoke to them about needing to replace that every 3 months or so since they have kids and cat in the home with them so the filters get dirty faster and must be changed more often. The static pressure was within specification after i replaced the filter with a high velocity filter off my truck(no charge). I then noticed the liquid line for the refrigerant at the evaporator coil inside was too hot to touch! I then realized the fan was not spinning outside and in turn it wasn’t cooling the liquid line down to a reasonable temperature. While outside I noticed the compressor was running extremely hard and it was turning on and on constantly. I immediately pulled the d

For this job I was performing an AC and furnace tuneup. All electrical components on both the furnace and the condenser were operating within manufacture specifications. Combustible gas readings on the furnace were in the green. Refrigerant levels were good. And temperature split in both cooling and heating mode looked good. Static pressure was under its maximum. Make sure the system is running efficiently before I left. Thank you for choosing LBA!
