Answered all my questions

Cesar showed up on time and was very professional for our plumbing maintenance. Overall, I think he did a great job - answered all my questions. The next day though, we had cold showers in the morning. Somehow, the pilot light on water heater did not get turned back on after appointment.

No longer a customer- here’s why.

I was solicited at 3:00pm on a Sunday for a $47 furnace tune up. That’s way less than their usual tune up rate so I scheduled them. They had an opening the next day (Monday) so I booked an afternoon spot. They called Monday morning and asked to come early so they were obviously without much business. The technician came upstairs 20 minutes after arriving to let us know that our system was no longer functional after he ran a “test” at a high output rating. The repair is $0 for parts but $360 for approimately 40 minutes of labor. Needless to say we feel completely set up for an expensive repair for something that was working just fine. It was either pay for the repair or be left with a non-functioning furnace in February. The hourly rate for this repair is more like a high profile attorney so needless to say they won’t get another cent from us. The supervisor spoke to me like I should be thanking them for this not happening as an emergency service call and likely without heat for 2-3 days. BTW we have been long time customers and even purchased this HVAC and furnace from them 5 years ago.

Static improvements

Arrived at the customers home for an AC maintenance. Upon arrival I put the system into cooling mode and began by checking static pressure. Static pressure was failing today at 1.0 when the system is rated for .5. I shut the system down installed a new 20x25x5 Merv 16 filter checked all dampers and vents and retested the system. Static was a bit lower at .94 but still failing. A field supervisor will be out later today to evaluate the issue. I checked all electrical levels which were good. I inspected the blower wheel assembly for cleanliness and excessive play in the bearings. The blower wheel assembly was good today. I performed a temperature split between the supply and return air which was 14.5 degrees. I moved to the outdoor unit and checked the target evaporating temp which was 48 and the actual evaporating temp which was 48. I checked the compressor current amps which were 6. I noticed the outdoor coil was dirty today. Spoke to the customer about having an extensive coil cleanin

Found failed static pressure on the system. Showed customer and explained why it’s running that way and explained why upstairs has no airflow. Talked with customer about options and they need to talk to the mom to get repairs approved. Following up Thursday

Arrived for an tune up today. Started at furnace and checked static, temp splits, filter, blower amps and wheel, drain. Static was failing at this time and customer agreed to field supervisor coming out. Also found blower wheel is collecting dust and needs to be cleaned. Moved to outside unit and checked capacitor, contactor, refrigerant, running amps, and coil. I found the capacitor was failing, with approval I replaced. All other operations are working properly. I rinsed the coil clean. System running upon leaving.

Upon arrival we began my removing refrigerator from the condenser. Once we removed the correct amount of refrigerant, we the had to add 12oz to get it back to the proper charge level. Temp split is now at 21 degrees which is ideal.

Upon arrival the AC was making loud noises and they turned it off yesterday so it wouldn’t hurt the system any further. I checked the refrigerant charge and my liquid line pressure was at 600psi which is almost 3 times too high. The charge was good on April 10th but now something is wrong. Either the system is overcharged or the TXV is wide open and flooding the TXV metering device which is an electronic(EEV) in this system. We will have our install team come out on Tuesday next week after the holiday to get it fully diagnosed and fixed. We will call you to confirm the appointment. Have a great holiday weekend! P.S. No payments due for todays call

Upon arrival turn thermostat to cool mode. All electrical components were good on furnace. Check static pressure failed. Open vents, open dampers, and changed filter, readjusted the blower speed. Blower speed was set for a five ton AC unit, customer had a four ton AC ton. After adjusting blower speed, static passed. Check CFM counts and were passing. Went outside to the AC unit, refrigerated levels were good. Check the MFD on the Hard Start Kit and it was above what it was rated 270-324MFD, we were getting 379.5MFD. With customer approval we went ahead and replaced the Hard Start Kit. All electrical and systems are running properly at this time.

Completed A/C tune up on two systems for customer today, all aspects of both systems tested good with the exception of static pressure which was discussed with homeowner and the particular challenges of the duct work in their home. Both systems operating upon departure.

Completed A/C tune up, communicated high static pressures with customer. All parameters of tune up meet specifications minus static pressure, left with system in operating condition.

Upon arrival we verified operations of the system and evaluated to see what type of thermostat was needed for replacement. Checked static pressures and found it was failing. We also found the blower wheel had become dirty as well. Talked with customer and upon their approval we replaced the thermostat. Supervisor is out evaluating static.

Upon arrival I was greeted by Emily who I went over the purpose of today’s visit with and answered any immediate questions they had to help set expectations.
