Answered all my questions

Cesar showed up on time and was very professional for our plumbing maintenance. Overall, I think he did a great job - answered all my questions. The next day though, we had cold showers in the morning. Somehow, the pilot light on water heater did not get turned back on after appointment.

No longer a customer- here’s why.

I was solicited at 3:00pm on a Sunday for a $47 furnace tune up. That’s way less than their usual tune up rate so I scheduled them. They had an opening the next day (Monday) so I booked an afternoon spot. They called Monday morning and asked to come early so they were obviously without much business. The technician came upstairs 20 minutes after arriving to let us know that our system was no longer functional after he ran a “test” at a high output rating. The repair is $0 for parts but $360 for approimately 40 minutes of labor. Needless to say we feel completely set up for an expensive repair for something that was working just fine. It was either pay for the repair or be left with a non-functioning furnace in February. The hourly rate for this repair is more like a high profile attorney so needless to say they won’t get another cent from us. The supervisor spoke to me like I should be thanking them for this not happening as an emergency service call and likely without heat for 2-3 days. BTW we have been long time customers and even purchased this HVAC and furnace from them 5 years ago.

Upon arrival checked all operations in the system and found that the unit was completely out of refrigerant. Preformed a leak search and found it was leaking at one of the joints outside. We also preformed an inspection of the furnace to find the blower was very dirty, the capacitor was failing, the heat exchanger wasn’t in very good condition, and the inducer was leaking oil. Customer wanted to go over all options with supervisor.

Upon arrival check system and ac mode. Tested static static was failed. Checked all other components on the furnace and the AC is well. It was a brand new system, so there was nothing wrong with the system itself we just came across of the AC unit itself on the outside was a bit under charged so we had to charge it up. I’ll let the customer know what we found that we wanted to have a field supervisor out just to verify and retest on why they aesthetic is so high Above finishing all the work supervisor has arrived and talking with customer now.

Found failed static on upstairs system. After reviewing what static pressure is and why the airflow is failed with customer, it was decided to have me follow up with them on Monday. Depending on option chosen we would be adding returns, cleaning ductwork, adding coil cleaners (to avoid mold growth), fixing flex ductwork in attic or replacing flex in attic and installing bypass damper on upstairs system instead.

Upon arrival we found that the disconnects were not plugged in which is why the system wasn’t working. We tested the static pressure and found that it was high at this time. We also found the ducts had gotten dirty as well. Customer is having supervisor out Friday to evaluate static and duct cleaning.

Upon arrival, turned main water off at main ball valve at entry, then disconnected and removed old A.O. Smith tankless heater. Installed new mounting bracket for new Navien tankless heater then mounted new heater, reconnected to existing gas lines and water lines installing new isolation valve kit as well as reconnected to existing vent lines. Tested for leaks by turning main water and gas back on and airing out lines, all good no leaks present at this time, New tankless is working properly.
