For this job, I was repairing a steam humidifier. Upon checking it was clear that there was a gasket valve loose and it was leaking from the bottom of the canister. Replace the gasket valve and sealed it off with pipe sealant. Turned it on and let it run for a while to ensure that they were no leaks and it was operating properly. Everything is working as it should at this time. Estimate

Whole home plumbing inspection performed. Major plumbing components two 50 gallon electric water heaters and three disposals in home are working properly. Incoming pressure tested at 95 psi, found that the home does not have a pressure regulator valve installed on the main water line. No active leaks found or plumbing found to be inoperable in home during inspection. Customer did have water shutoff to master bathroom toilet due to it running, upon further investigation tech found that the float on the fill valve was no longer engaging to shut the flow of water off to the tank, will provide estimate to rebuild toilet. Customer also reported a very slow drain in master bathroom tub, will open drain as part of PSF membership. Estimates presented for various items in home, customer accepted estimate to rebuild master bathroom toilet and open master tub drain covered by PSF. Removed existing fill valve and flapper from master bathroom toilet and installed new in their place. Flushed toilet

Performed ac maintenance x3. Cleaned systems, replaced filters, and checked for proper operation. On the upstairs and basement systems the capacitors were performing below spec and I recommended replacement. I found the main floor system to be low on refrigerant. With customers approval I performed a leak search with an electronic leak detector. I searched service valves, the outdoor system, and the indoor coil. I found damage on the outdoor coil caused my either ice or rocks but did not get any substantial hits here. I also found rust a corrosion throughout the indoor coil but once again did not receive a definitive hit. I spoke with the customer and showed the condition of both of my concerns. I went over estimates of charging the system to spec or charging the system to spec and adding leak sealant. Customer did not want to move forward with either of these at this time. System running upon departure.

Checked all operations in the heating and cooling modes and inspected the furnace filter. Filter was dirty and replaced. Checked all electrical components at the indoor and outdoor unit. Checked all refrigerant components and washed off the outdoor unit. Checked the static pressure and found the system had high static pressure. Upon customer approval a supervisor came out to measure the ductwork and come up with possible solutions. System is operating properly at this time.

Toilet was not filling properly and company noticed the refill tube was draining into the tank and not the overflow tube. Refill tube was repositioned which fixed the fill problems. After closer examination, it was discovered the main jet had very low pressure to assist the flush. The customer was sent estimates for toilet replacement. Upon arrival I found that the thermostat was automatically turning to auxiliary heat. Customer also wanted me to check humidifier. I found that the water shut off and solenoid had both failed and gave customer estimates on replacement and repairs. Customer decided to have humidifier replaced and pay using financing. Company arrived Thursday, September 1, 2022. The customer was having issues with their floor drain next to their water heater draining slowly and was interested in replacing the expansion tank to the water heater. Company opened the slow draining floor drain via toilet auger allowing for proper flow. Company gave estimate for the expansion tank replacement and the customer chose to have the work preformed today. Company removed the failed expansion tank and replaced it with new. Client called because AC wasn't cooling. Ran a diagnostic and found the thermostat was faulty. Replaced the old digital thermostat with a new programmable thermostat. Tested the replacement thermostat and AC began cooling right away.
