Arrived to remedy condensation forming on a couple vents in the master bedroom. Climbed into the attic to see what can be seen. After finally finding the correct vents, found that when the roofer was performing a repair in this spot they tried to put the insulation back in place but there is not enough in this area. More insulation will need moved or blown into this area to cover the boot where the duct meets the ceiling vent. The flexible duct is insulated but the metal boot is not and when surrounded by hot humid air it will sweat. If the insulation covers the boot the air around this part will be less hot and humid and may even hold in some cold air from the duct it’s self.
Ordered a new zoning thermostat for the upstairs. Should be delivered to the shop on Tuesday.
Dispatched for annual AC tuneup. At arrival system is operating. During the tuneup, I checked compressor, fan and capacitor. Also, during the inspection we checked pressures, static pressure, and temperature split. All components of the AC are all operating with manufacturer specs. Arrived for ac check today. At the outdoor unit refrigerant and pressures look good given the cooler temps outside. Inside blower wheel is clean. All electrical components are running properly. I did a cfm count on ductwork and found that we are short on cfm. A field supervisor will reach out to set up a time to re-evaluate. System is running upon departure. Thanks for choosing LBA.
Ran trouble shooting on the water heater, cleaned sediment out of shower fixtures
Found thermostat setting incorrect. Thermostat was set for heat strip only. I changed that and tested all components and amp draws. I found no other issues today. Heat pump and heat strips working as they should at departure. Upstairs thermostat display is acting up a bit so I let customer know and if it presents any further issues that we would have to order thermostat and return with new thermostat. Informed customer of water heater condition. Customer will need contacted to set up plumbing inspection visit to check it out and get the water heater fixed before issues occur.
Water Softener Installation: Installed a compact and efficient water softener system to address hard water complaints. The solution eliminated issues like soap scum, dry skin, and clogged fixtures, providing the client with noticeably improved water quality.
