Excellent customer service

Rob did a great job! He was extremely personable, friendly, polite and very thorough. He showed me evidence of my plumbing issue and walked me through it all explaining very thoroughly step by step-which I appreciate since I prefer to be educated about services that are required. He is a great asset to have to be the “face” of the company to homeowners.

Hope never to see Scott again

Scott McKinley is the reason my system has had so many issues and several thousand dollars of necessary repairs even though it is only 5 years old. He sold us the complete system in 2019 which was apparently too big for our houses ducting. Which lba only told us was the problem last year and which we needed to pay even more to mitigate Now we need the heat exchanger replaced on the furnace which seems all part of the initial screw up on hvac sizing At the time of working on enlarging the duct work, I let the technicians know I was unhappy with Scott’s lack of expertise or understanding and really didn’t want to interact with Scott again. Last week we had the yearly inspection for the AC and Ren identified pinholes and cracks in the furnace heat exchanger so we scheduled someone to come out for a follow up Then Scott shows up for the follow up. I can understand if he’s the closest person to me geographically but I had already noted I was unhappy with the experience and presumed it would not be Scott ever again. Onto the specifics of the follow up: Scott looked initially at the furnace and noted water damage to which I responded along the lines yes the water damage is because you installed a system that was too big for our ducting causing the static pressure issues to which Scott a very non committal answer. He continues his inspection and comes out with “so do you want me to quote you a new unit” It seems Scott hadn’t even reviewed Ren’s report. I informed him that he was there to confirm the cracked heat exchanger and get the warranty moving along for that part. He went back to my furnace blaming Ren for not including enough information (unlikely since ren showed me the photos she had taken as evidence of the pinholes) Scott comes back and says we can do a warranty on the heat exchanger but that the labor will be $3798. Way overpriced, but at this point I want to be done with Scott and done with LBA in general

Excellent service

Ramon was terrific! He was friendly, courteous and always had a smile on his face! And he asked me about my experience with LBA and was actually interested in my answer - or he’s a great actor, but I don’t think so. Thanks Ramon!

Absolutely unimpressed

As part of the package that I purchased with LBA, I received a furnace inspection. The tech who arrived was on time and friendly. However, he did not tell me that he would be drilling a hole into my flue as part of it. My home is 20 months old equipped with several CO detectors. He did not discuss this with me as I would’ve told him not to drill into anything. Next, he discovered a pressure sensor on my furnace was malfunctioning and was determining whether it was a maintenance issue or a technical one. As he was explaining the problem to me he then proceeds to examine the flue termination outside. This port has a fine grade on it. He explained that he wanted to cut the flue to inspect the inside of it for deceased rodents. At that point I told him that the grate installed with the unit precludes any animals from getting in and that he was not to cut into my flue any longer. I explained to him that he could use a camera to look into the hole he already bored out without permission. At that time he contacted his supervisor which told him to stop the maintenance altogether. Not only did the tech not provide me with the component that was broken on the unit, but then forged my signature on the maintenance form. I will not use LBA again for any services.

At the time the system seems to be working perfectly. When there’s a heater nearby the thermostat it will trick the furnace into turning off because it will think that it’s set Temperature has been met. Keep that in mind. What we should do now is move the heaters away from the thermostat And put them in other areas of the house. That way we can see if the thermostat temperature can be satisfied by the furnace running.

Completed furnace inspection for customer. All aspects of system tested within manufacturer specifications. No recommendations at this time. Did notice that humidifier was running without call for heat and realized it was energized by the fan circuit, rewire to only work with heat to not waste water and prevent growth on water pad.

Arrived at home and spoke with Robert about reason his call today, was just for a toilet in main bathroom that was clogged up. After completing five star grading I did visual inspection of toilet and piping underneath in the basement. Once I determine what the issue was I created an estimate for a drain clearing once he signed off, I got started on running the toilet auger to clean out clock. After a few minutes, toilet was free and water draining properly. Collected signatures, payment and headed out.

Arrived to customer for a furnace tuneup during the process of the inspection. We discovered a gas valve failure along with discovering high static pressure due to a dirty filter. All of the components met within factory specs.

Arrived to do a performance maintenance. Set up for combustion analysis temperature split and static pressure tests. Found that the system is operating with failing static pressure. Reached out to a field supervisor to finish the diagnosis on the systems static pressure. Verified operation of all mechanical and electronic components of the furnace. Checked blower for cleanliness and to see if there is any play in the bearings. Found excessive debris built up on the fan for heating and cooling. Checked systems heat exchanger to ensure proper venting of flue gas. Found hot spots and rust on the heat exchanger. Found that the heat exchanger has hot spots present. With all the dust found on the fan checked the duct and found significant amounts of dust present. Spoke with homeowner about the system. Furnace is operational at this time.

After completing five star and full diagnostic of homes plumbing I determined that issue with proper flow was due to shower valve being faulty. Let him know how we would approach it and the price To repair. Which he agreed with, set up time for install Wednesday for first call. Collected signatures, and headed out. Wear and Tear: -Shower valve and trim kit repair After reviewing the entire house I went over everything with Kirk to ensure they understood everything going on in the house and what could be done to address it. I’m here to figure out why the pressure in the upstairs bathroom is really low. After doing some diagnostic and inspection of the homes plumbing everything looks to be in great condition. He had a new water heater a little while back after his original one failed.and all the faucets have been replaced within the last 7 to 8 years. The only stuff in the house that it was built was piping behind drywall. I’m certain that the reason he’s I can hot water is cause his shower valve behind the wall has failed causing hot water to not be able to flow through properly. I let him know how we would fix that and what it would cost, he asked how long it would takebecause he has plans around 3 PM today. I let him know from start to finish. It takes roughly 1 1/2 to 2 hours if everything goes smoothly.

Arrived for furnace maintenance today. Checked static pressure and found it is failing at this time. Ran combustion analysis to make sure fuel is burning properly. Checked temperature split between the return and the supply air. Checked heat exchanger and found rust in several spots. I contacted my field supervisor Dre, and he came out to recheck my findings. Rick wanted to with Dre about replacement options. System is running upon departure. Thanks for choosing LBA.
