Customer concerned of possible gas smell after new gas insert was installed, sniffed floor valve and surrounding areas found no failures at this time. No s/f charged offered new P3 renewal agreement for maintenance.
Upon arrival found a clogged condensate drain that overflowed and caused the control system in the air movement system to fail at this time wired around the system to see if I could get the outdoor unit to turn on found that the refrigeration pump was locking up at this time and not starting after speaking with the customer upon previous damage and damage that has been caused today from lack of maintenance in the beginning life of the system customer wants to look into replacement.
Checked all operations in the heating mode. Performed a combustion analysis as well as checked carbon and oxygen levels. Cleaned off blower wheel as well as the furnace itself. Furnace filter was good and system is operating within factory specifications at this time.
Checked all operations in the heating mode customer said air conditioner was not working over the weekend and found a breaker To be tripped at this time I was unable to find any reason that the breaker tripped at this time. Furnace filter is ok changed humidifier pad and cleaned out housing of furnace and housing of humidifier Checked all safety systems for the furnace equipment is operating within factory specifications at this time.
Upon arrival the kitchen and the sink in the laundry room were backed up. I cabled the line through the kitchen drain and ran water in the other sink. After getting the clog out I tested by running more water in both sinks and everything tested good.
In the downstairs basement the old flushmate toilet wasnâ€™t flushing properly. Customer want a new toilet so I installed a new eco flush toilet in its place. I tested by flushing the toilet 7 times and I checked for leaks as well. Everything tested good.
Upon arrival the customer had put in a new fill valve in his hallway bathroom toilet and couldnâ€™t figure out why it was still running. I now the the float was stuck up against the tube in the tank. I turned the float away from the tube the it started working properly. There were no leaks. Collecting trip charge.
Derive to replace heat media transfer coil under a limited manufacture warranty. Replaced heat media transfer coil under the limit to manufacture warranty. Sealed all air leaks. Recharged the system back up to factory specifications giving it 9 degrees of sub cooling. system is operating within factory specifications at this time.
Customer said he couldnâ€™t keep water heater light after looking at options to repair or replace he chose to replace with the silver package.
Completed cooling tune up and performed chemical coil clean, everything else tested as it should
Was called to install expansion tank for water heaters .I CUT IN A 4 gallon expansion tank sized to support the two water heaters. And checked for leaks.
I performed a safety and maintenance inspection on the AC system. I found everything to be operating within the manufacturers tolerances at this time. I recommended to the customer that they purchase an outdoor heat transfer media chemical cleaning along with a new service disconnect as those were the only concerns I had with the condition of the AC system. The customer was unable to purchase those at this time due to having foundation repair work currently being done. At the customers request, they would like it noted for next years AC tuneup that both those repairs be made. Furthermore, the customer would like their AC tuneup to be scheduled earlier in the season preferably before the season. I also found the water pressure to be too high and recommended to the customer that they consider getting a pressure reducing valve installed. The customer renewed their P3 membership today as well.
