Texted customer. Will update when he responds
Called customer and no answer. Left him a voicemail explaining our other financing option. Left him my personal cell number if he wants to call me back.
Customer really wants to see what his warranty will cover first before having us just go ahead and do the work to fix leak and airflow
Upon arrival checked all components in the heating mode. Tested static static was failing checked all other electrical components. Everything was good. It said the housing on the inducer motor was starting to leak. Also took a look at the blower wheel and heat Exchanger both looked okay. then switched over to the AC took readings and everything was looking perfectly fine. The ac did have a leak and was low, refrigerant identification. Told him that a supervisor was going to come out to take a look at static . I presented my options with the customer. He said he was going to contact the people that installed the unit just because it was recently installed and wanted to see if it’s still under warranty.
Called customer to see if he decided to have the A-Coil and blower clean done. He was very candid with me. He found another smaller company to do all that work for around $500. So, he is gonna go with the lower cost to repair the system which I fully understand. He said if he needs anything in the future he might be calling us.
Customer ;eft right as I got here so I went ahead and retested and took measurements. Will want to return while Matt is here to go over why the systems static is failing.
Upon arrival I began my checking the coil and hx. I found a crack that is starting to form. I also found the A-Coil is packed with dirt. The blower wheel is very dirty as well. I advised the landlord that we need to clean both the blower and A-Coil so this doesn’t happen again. The static pressure is failing. Partially due to the coil being dirty and air cannot get through the coil. Landlord will speak with partners and let us know in the morning sometime. I gave him a nice discount if he chooses to have both cleaned.
