Dispatched for a no-heat service call. Upon arrival, performed a full diagnostic of the heating system. Found the draft inducer motor seized and unable to operate, preventing proper combustion airflow. Further inspection revealed the secondary heat exchanger to be heavily clogged, restricting exhaust flow and creating an unsafe operating condition. Due to these failures, the furnace could not operate safely or reliably and was rendered inoperable. Findings were reviewed with the homeowner and escalated to the Field Supervisor to discuss available repair and replacement solutions. After evaluating the age and condition of the system, replacement was recommended. The homeowner elected to proceed with furnace replacement. Arrangements were made to return on December 29, 2025, to install a new furnace and restore reliable heating to the home.
