Arrived on site for a no Cooling issue. Upon arrival unit was on and cooling properly. Customer said that the unit thermostat was set to 76 but it wouldn't go lower to 79 for about 4 hours but after broken appointment with us the unit started cooling efficiently again bringing the space to 76. Went to the air handler and opened up the coils to inspect the evaporator coil. Coils look clean. Metering device with a txv. Went outside to check on the condenser functionality. Condenser was running normally, connected field piece gauges to check pressures. Pressures were good but super heat was too high it being 26. Temperature difference inside the unit was 18. You look healthy from the inside and outside, could not find the reason why unit was not cooling properly.
Perform the service for the oil fired hot air furnace, replace the nozzle, oil filter, and pump screen. Also replace the air filter with a customer supplied air filter. Cleaned and adjusted the electrodes, adjusted the zero setting for the draw assembly and started up the burner. Performed a combustion analysis on the system, the furnace is operating properly.
