Arrived on site for maintenance. Upon arrival customer said it has been no issues with the unit as of late. Turned on the unit to see it running fully functional. Customer had no filters on site for me to swap out. Went outside to the condenser and full disconnect to serve the condenser safely. Wash the condenser with chemical from the outside.
Arrived onsite to fix leaking humidifier supply valve and diagnose furnace heating issue. For the humidifier, found a second supply valve on the system that isn’t leaking. Turn that valve on and confirmed operation of the humidifier. Performed diagnostic on furnace. Furnace is overheating and going off on high limit. Confirmed limit switch is working. Measured temperature rise at 70-80 degrees. Well out of range. Performed inspection of heat exchanger using camera probe. May have cracks in heat exchanger but inconclusive findings. Attempted running furnace without filter to increase air flow but furnace still running hot. Next steps is to retest system with combustion analyzer to determine if there is CO in air stream which would indicate cracked heat exchanger.
Arrive between 2-6pm for EPP 1H maintenance on 1 gas furnace and humidifier for forced air system. Customer will provide filter & pad. Note: Customer has Ecobee with occasional unit startup issue, to be addressed same day.
8-9am Arrival; EPP 1C- Maintenance. Customer changes their own filters
No heat service call on Geothermal Heat Pump.
