Arrived onsite for an no heat service call. Homeowner explained there was a gas smell the other day. They called gas company who explained it was from a failed part in the furnace. Apparently there was a water leak from the upstairs neighbor. Performed diagnostics. Observed significant rusting and deterioration inside the burner cabinet from the water leak. Found a fault in the combustion exhaust system, fault in the fuel delivery system, fault in the ignition system, and a fault in the flame safety system. System started up and operating as it should.
