Before the repair the failed fan motor was checked to confirm that replacement was needed. The motor mount for this motor was loose and a nut had vibrated off and was in the bottom of the unit. The motor mount was removed to climb into the unit and then it was reinstalled and tightened firmly. The new motor and blade returned this unit to service. All panels accessed today were securely attached and I walked around the unit to confirm that no screws were on the roof.
