Removed the failed blower motor assembly from the furnace, swapped out and installed a new motor and mounting bracket. Upon installation of the new motor I found that the internal of the blower wheel hub was severely scored and damaged, and that the set screw for the blower wheel was stripped. I was able to get the blower wheel set, however if it does work its way loose we will need to replace the blower wheel in the future. Start up the blower and confirm the proper rotation, started up the furnace and confirmed that the burner is lighting, the blower motor is properly cycling, and the flame sensor is operating.
