Performed heating maintenance on a gas-fired furnace and confirmed operation of two zones. Cleaned the blower cabinet, gas burners, and flame sensor. Checked electrical components and measured a temperature rise of 60°F. The system is operating as it should. Homeowner needs a new polarized filter, and the UV bulb is operational but due for replacement. Installed the blower guard, but it continued to turn off the furnace. Diagnosed the issue with the mechanical pressure switch and blower guard control board. Contacted Amana Recall support, and it was confirmed the blower guard solution won't work. A replacement metal drain pan for the evaporator coil will be sent to the homeowner, with labor covered by Amana.
