Receive the call that the boiler was leaking water from a pipe, upon arrival I found that the drip leg from the relief valve had been removed and that the relief valve was dripping into a bucket. I confirmed that the expansion tank had not failed, the pressure reading through the boiler pressure sensor was showing 21 lb and the pressure gauge on the outlet side of the boiler was at 22 lb. Start it up and cycle the heat and allowed the boiler to heat up, I found that the pressure on the boiler display went up to 22 PSI and the actual gauge went over 25 PSI. I removed some water from the boiler to lower the pressure and I adjusted the pressure reducing valve to make sure that it's not overfeeding the boiler, I allowed the boiler to run for several minutes and confirm that the pressure is holding at 18 psi reading on the boiler display and at 24 PSI on the actual gauge. I was able to get the relief valve to seat itself again and it is no longer dripping.
