Arrived onsite for no heating service call on Oil Fired Boiler. Upon arrival confirmed call for heat on the thermostat and each confirmed each zone valve opened. Attempted to reset oil burner but burner would not start. Found no power to the burner. Found a fault in the water emergency cut off system that is stopping power from starting the boiler. Also observed leak coming from purge valve. Recommend oil heating maintenance as this should be done annually. The oil filter, oil screen, and oil nozzle have not been changed in almost 4 years. Oil fuel contains significant contaminants that clog the burner system.
