Today heating checks and filter changes were completed on two hanging unit heaters and five rooftop units. Checklists were completed and emailed. There were two minor and one major deficiency discovered. One rooftop unit has an inducer motor that is operating loudly and has rusted through the housing. The other two deficiencies are two capacitors in two separate rooftop units that are underperforming. A repair estimate for these items has been completed and emailed. All units checked today are operating. The unit with the inducer motor and assembly failing may not be reliable and while the combustion today was good it may start to burn improperly which could lead to excessive carbon inside of the heat exchanger and further damage to the unit.
