With this job, I was checking a system operating for summer. AC condenser and furnace are operating fine however, there are some issues with the dampers, not cooling the upstairs. After checking them, I noticed that a temp probe was placed on the wrong side of a damper and was causing the system to thinking it was too cold and short cycling. After I moved it, I was able to get colder air upstairs. We’ve done a lot of ductwork to minimize static pressure and to help airflow in and out of the system, which has done a great job however, we can’t do any more duct work for the upstairs because it is all covered by drywall. Therefore, we only have one plenum that is not that large going upstairs. We need to keep the upstairs thermostat at a colder temperature so that it cools faster and the cold air drops. Other than that, the only option would be at some point to possibly have a furnace or air handler upstairs in the attic. The biggest difference right now would be getting insulation for th
