Televised ducts to inspect the condition of the tee and the duct armor. Tee and Duct Armor appear in good condition and assured her that any smell that she smells will dissipate over time. I could not really smell anything unless I smelled in the register.
Completed comprehensive underground air duct assessment for commercial property in Bartlett today. Customer reported inconsistent airflow and mustiness in specific zones. Utilized specialized camera system to inspect approximately 120 feet of underground ductwork. Identified three primary issues requiring attention: significant moisture accumulation at two low points creating ideal conditions for mold growth; partial collapse of duct wall at 45° bend restricting airflow by approximately 40%; and deteriorating seals at two connection points causing air leakage. Collected air samples for laboratory analysis to confirm suspected microbial contamination. Created detailed digital mapping of entire system with GPS coordinates of problem areas. Recommended remediation plan involving targeted repairs using our trenchless technology rather than disruptive excavation. Customer appreciated our non-invasive approach that would minimize business disruption. Provided detailed report with video docum
3-12-2025: Cleaned duct work from registers in living room (x2)and dining room (x1) to remove all pea gravel back fill and dust from duct work, installed 8”x6” tee liner from middle register in living room positioning at tee connection for register in dining room covering over hole at tee cut out where backfill was falling into duct work. Encapsulated duct work with duct armor from middle register in living room up to 90 elbow near tee liner installed also from register in dining room up to main where tee liner was installed. ***after cleaning pea gravel at tee where tee liner was being installed noticed 90 elbow 1’ from tee was rusted and weak with pea gravel entering duct work, we encapsulated 90 elbow with duct armor to try and stop pea gravel dust from entering line, may need mortar or install patch liner on elbow in future (at an additional cost) if dust continues to enter duct work.
Televised duct under slab floor and identified area where pea gravel was entering into the duct at a tee connection. Will provide proposal to install short patch liner to seal off area.
Televised ducts under slab floor. Ducts are galvanized and are heavily rusted with gravel and standing water. Work needs to be done on gutters and dwnspouts to control water in ducts. If work on the gutters does not solve water issue then a sump pit and pump is suggested in the backyard. After the water is controlled the ducts should be spin cast mortared then spray lined with Duct Armor duct lining material.
Televised ducts under slab floor. Ducts are spiral wound galvanized and showing heavy signs of rust. Suggest spin cast mortaring then spray lining with Duct Armor duct lining material.
Televised ducts under slab floor. Ducts are concrete ducts possibly Transite with asbestos with metal fittings and connections that are rusted. There was some standing water in the main run and standing water in the plenum. Suggest installing a sump pit and pump inside then spray lining with Duct Armor duct lining material.
We are cleaning all the underground duct work which is pvc pipe with metal fittings, we are applying our trenchless cast mortar to all metal fittings to restructure the weak rusted metal, and we are also sealing the entire underground duct work with two applications of our duct lining material.
We are applying our Trenchless Cast mortar to all of the heavily rusted connections and elbows in the underground air duct system. This process will give them a strong structure. We will then apply our first application of our rubberized duct lining material to completely encapsulate the system.
Televised ducts under slab floor. Ducts are concrete ducts with metal fittings and connections. Only slight rust on a couple elbows. Will provide a quote to spray line ducts with Duct Armor duct lining material.
Televised ducts under slab floor. Customer had a sewer backup and water leaked into the ducts. Ducts have standing water. Need to dry out ducts then spray line to encapsulate the ducts with Duct Armor duct lining material because of sewer contamination.
