3-27-24 Install new 10 ton compressor on the 25 ton trane condenser unit. We were able to isolate the king valves at the condenser so we did not have to remove all the refrigerant back to the evaporator. After remove the refrigerant. Remove the existing bad compressor. Installed #1 circuit 10 ton compressor. The leak tested the isolated compressors,evacuated the two compressors to 500 microns. Then reinstalled the remote refrigerants. We ran and tested the unit. There is still bubbles in the cycle. System may have been low on refrigerant (R 410a) before we started the repair. I still need to install a new compressor contactor with auxiliary contacts The 2 crank case heaters are not working This was not part of the original quote however, I don’t want these compressors getting liquid back in them again.
