Today Lennox rooftop unit #10 (s/n ending 0783) had its power restored after a quick check for any shorts to ground. This unit was noticed when I was servicing unit #9 because the rocks around its drain were completely dry. After restoring power there was not 24v at the thermostat terminals. The low voltage transformer had switched off on an overcurrent safety. I also discovered that the first stage cooling functions had been wired out of service. These were restored. The economizer was also wired out and it was not brought back into service today. The control voltages were traced for both the first and second circuit and the resulting diagnosis is that the contactors for both first and second stage cooling have failed. In addition to this the blower motor drive belt is worn and squealing. I spoke with Joe and a verbal approval was given for a time plus material repair of the components listed above.
