Arrived to do a performance maintenance. Set system for cooling. Measured the systems static pressure measured a temperature split between return and supply air. Found that the systems static pressure is higher than my gage can read. Checked interior of the furnace for cleanliness. Found that the blower wheel is heavily coated in dust and debris impeding how much air the system can move. Found that the evaporator coil is impacted with debris further interrupting systems airflow. Checked ductwork looking for the source of all the debris. Found excessive dust and debris in the ductwork, both before and after the filter. Went outside and verified refrigerant levels. Found that the system is showing that it is overcharged. This is to be expected when the evaporator coil is dirty like this. Verified operation of all electronic and mechanical components. Found that the capacitor in the condenser is failing and causing the compressor to draw more power to run. Rinsed coil free of debris. Spok
