After checking the system, we have some severe problems going on. The ductwork is not nearly the right size for the required tonnage of this house. So we need to add some ductwork to get the correct amount of airflow. Because of this, we have an unbalanced, refrigerant pressure And overworked blower fan. This will also harm the evaporator coil and heat exchanger if we do not do something soon. After checking, the ductwork is clear that it desperately needs to get cleaned. I’d say we have at least 2 inches of dust and cat hair buildup in the filters reducing the already small size of the ductwork to it even smaller size. The system itself is showing signs of wear and tear because of all these airflow issues but if we can correct them, I believe it still has quite a bit of life in it.
