HVAC came out to do service and noticed ways coming from water heater. Upon arrival, customer mentioned that it was leaking prior us to arriving today, but customer didn’t think it was a huge concern. Educated customer the functionality of T&P Valve. Checked water pressure and water pressure is at 75psi. Customer does have an expansion tank installed with water heater. We installed customer water heater in 2021. Expansion tank set to 75psi matching house pressure. Finding no evidence of T&P valve causing it to trip. Customer made mention that he might of bumped into it the other day. Explained to customer if that’s the case, debris could’ve got in between the seals and causing water to pass through. Flushed T&P valve and it stopped dripping. Informed customer if it keeps dropping or leaking, would be best to replace it with a new one.
