CUSTOMER STATED : Expansion tank above water heater is leaking. TECHNICIAN NOTES : Out to the residence today for a recall on a leaking thermal expansion tank. Original tech could not replace leaking tank due to lack of space / restricted access. AHS has denied repairs to replace leaking thermal expansion tank due to customer not having proper code coverage. While on site we have also found the existing pressure regulating located under water heater platform to be malfunctioning. Water pressure read 30 PSI with water turned off to water heater. Customer stated they were going to make a new claim with AHS for the malfunctioning pressure regulating valve. RESOLUTION : Replaced leaking thermal expansion tank located above water heater in garage.
