CUSTOMER STATED: They had a leak coming from the water heater in garage. TECHNICIAN NOTES: Upon inspection I found that this is a whirlpool 50 gallon natural gas water heater located in the garage of home, and is 14 years of age which is outside of manufacture warranty. I found that this unit is leaking internally from the bottom of tank, and it must be replaced. There are no repairs I can make. I let homeowner know I will need to submit to choice warranty, and this could take anywhere from 3 to 5 business days before I receive a response. RESOLUTION/RECOMMENDATIONS: We will have to replace the existing Whirlpool 50 gallon natural gas unit located in the garage of home with brand new tank, and all code required items to help fix/prevent any future plumbing issues.
