CUSTOMER STATED: water heater is leaking and running up water bill. TECHNICIAN NOTES: when I arrived I found water pouring out of ceiling from hall bathroom shower onto water heater. After inspecting further water stop running out of ceiling. Some one was taking a shower when water was coming out of ceiling. There is leak either coming from the shower valve or waste and overflow of the shower. I am unable to fully deduce which without cutting a hole in the wall behind the shower. The water heats t&p valve is running constantly. This is caused by the water pressure being 120 psi at the water heater. No expansion tank installed on the water heater which could also be a cause of the t&p valve opening RESOLUTION/RECOMMENDATIONS:install expansion tank/ replace water heater replace PRV. Rebuild/replace shower valve/ replace waste and overflow. If t&p is going off after expansion tank is installed and PRV is replaced then t&p needs to b replaced as well. JOB NOTES: water heate
