Technician Notes: Out today to look into issue with the waste heater located in the lower level utility closet. 40 gallon natural gas Rheem water heater from November of 2020. Gas control valve has failed and is not allowing pilot light to stay on so the burner assembly can heat water. Gas control valve needs replaced. Resolution: Called Rheem as this water heater is still under a manufacturer’s warranty and I do not have this part in stock, nearby supply stores do not have this part. They are shipping the new gas control valve to this homes address. Should arrive in 2-4 days. Nobody has to be home to sign.
