CUSTOMER STATED: The homeowner complaint is that the water heater is leaking TECHNICIAN NOTES: We found that the water heater is leaking onto the floor RESOLUTION/RECOMMENDATIONS: The water heater needs to be replaced along with code required items and 1 modification 04/11/24 lee Came out today to replace the 40 gal gas water heater and run a new gas line Shut water off to the house and drained down the house cut off the old gas line and disconnected. Disconnected the old gas valve from gas line installed new gas valve and ran new gas line over to new water heater. Installed new water heater with new connections, giving the 18 inches of copper coming off the heater with new shut off valve and thermal expansion tank with expansion bracket Filled up the tank and checked for leak There are no leaks at this time Hooked up new gas, line to heater, using new drip leg with union shut off valve to isolate gas line from heater Check gas line for leaks. There are no leaks at this time
