CUSTOMER STATED: They had a leak coming from the water heater in garage. TECHNICIAN NOTES: Upon inspection, I found that this is a state select 50 gallon natural gas water heater located in the garage of home, and is 18 years of age which is well outside of manufacture warranty. I found that this water heater is leaking internally, and I made the homeowner aware that there are no repairs I can make for this unit. It can only be replaced at this time. I let her know that 2-10 warranty will be supplying the water heater, but there is an out-of-pocket cost in the amount of $716.44 for code/modifications items. The homeowner agreed to the out-of-pocket expenses, and I made her aware that as soon as we hear from 2-10 warranty of when the water heater has made it to will call we will schedule her for replacement. RESOLUTION/RECOMMENDATIONS: We will be replacing the existing failed 50 gallon natural gas water heater located in garage of home, and replace it with brand new 2-10 warr
