Customer States: They went out of town and came home to a leak in the basement. They had a restoration/ mitigation company out. They saw water coming from the water heater and turned water off to the home. Technician Notes: Out today to look into issue with a leak in the basement. Restored water to home to search for leak. After about 10 minutes the water heater began pouring water out of the upper thermostat cover. Water heater has failed. 50 Gallon Electric Rheem water heater manufactured June 1st, 2015. Tested pressure after valving off water heater and leaving main water on to home. Pressure measured at 100psi. Expansion tank has also failed. Resolution: Submit work order to CHW for approval.
