Responded to customer complaint of sulfur odor from hot water system. Inspected Rheem water heater and diagnosed issue as deteriorated anode rod. Performed service including anode rod replacement and complete tank flush to eliminate odor-causing bacteria. Evaluated existing water softener which was experiencing frequent salt bridging issues; recommended replacement with cabinet-style unit including sediment filter to prevent future mineral buildup in water heater. Customer opted for water heater maintenance now with water softener installation to follow.
