04/15/25 Rob J II The customer called in because they had a water stain on the basement ceiling. We suspected the main floor guest bathroom tub, but we couldn’t verify it while running water. As we started cutting into the water spot on the basement ceiling below, water began to pour out. After cutting further back into the ceiling, we discovered that the tub overflow caused the leak.
Clean out on bathroom stack not tightened as much as it should have been, re-taped and doped plug, tightened properly and tested by flushing toilet multiple times, no leaks.
Installed chimney liner and vented the water heater.
Estimate for installing new cartridge in Kohler 304 shower valve, capped shower head at time of service, as customer wants to update shower.
Plumbing repair. The homeowner had been experiencing low water pressure and noticed that the water heater was not producing hot water. I diagnosed the problem as a faulty water heater thermostat and replaced it with a new one. The homeowner was happy with the quick and efficient repair.
