Responded to service call regarding basement backup issue. Upon inspection of customer's septic system, discovered standing water in concrete drainage well with multiple PVC pipe connections. After assessment, determined backup was caused by septic system failure rather than standard clogged drain. Notified customer of findings and explained septic issue requiring specialized service.
Performed scheduled Furnace Rewards maintenance on customer's late model Lennox system. Completed comprehensive furnace tune-up with no issues or malfunctions detected. Noted customer's standalone fireplace has pilot light retention problem; advised customer to contact specialized fireplace technician for repair.
Performed routine maintenance agreement service on two furnaces. Conducted complete combustion analysis on both main and backup units as required by the maintenance agreement. Both units passed CO testing with acceptable readings as verified by UEi combustion analyzer measurements.
Performed annual maintenance on 1996 Weil-McLain model Heii4 LP boiler. Removed burners for cleaning, vacuumed combustion chamber, and verified proper operation. Tested igniter (80 ohms reading within acceptable range) which is currently functioning adequately despite customer concerns. Left estimate for replacement igniter as preventative option, though current component remains serviceable. Noted system is in good condition despite age.
Arrived at a home for a scheduled furnace installation. I started by removing the old furnace and installing the new one. I then connected the gas line and electrical wiring. Finally, I tested the furnace to make sure it was working properly. The customer is pleased with their new unit.
