Responded to no-heat call for furnace showing intermittent operation. Diagnostic inspection revealed significant pressure switch gurgling during operation. Unit was functional during service visit but shows signs of impending failure. Provided temporary space heaters as precautionary measure and submitted estimate for pressure switch replacement to prevent complete system failure.
Responded to a service call for a Lennox furnace with reported water leakage. Diagnosed the issue as a condensate drain pipe not properly inserted into the condensate pump, causing water to leak around the furnace area. Repositioned the pump by raising it approximately 1/2" to ensure proper insertion of the PVC drain pipe into the pump reservoir. Inspected secondary heat exchanger to confirm no internal leakage from blower compartment. Recommended duct cleaning service during visit.
Performed comprehensive furnace tune-up on 4-year-old Lennox FRP system. Inspected all electrical components, cleared condensate lines, verified clean filter and blower assembly. Examined heat exchanger (no compromises found), confirmed proper gas pressures, and checked venting system. Unit operated within specifications with appropriate temperature rise of approximately 60 degrees. Exterior condensing unit observed with substantial snow accumulation.
Responded to customer concern about furnace noise during operation. Diagnostic inspection revealed mild inducer motor noise and labored blower motor startup. Heat exchanger was examined and found in satisfactory condition with furnace operating within acceptable parameters. Customer was advised about current component condition and potential future replacement needs for inducer and blower motors if symptoms worsen.
Responded to a service call regarding humidistat issues. Installed new humidistat and tested system operation which functioned properly initially. After multiple test cycles, identified faulty transformer preventing humidifier operation. Provided customer with repair options including transformer replacement or complete humidifier upgrade, and sent detailed estimates via email per customer request.
Performed scheduled 8-12 furnace tune-up on 14-year-old Ruud system. Replaced dirty filter, verified blower was clean and balanced with electrical components within specifications. Cleared condensate lines, confirmed proper drainage, and inspected heat exchanger with no compromises found. System tested for 15 minutes with proper gas pressure and 50-degree temperature rise, operating within normal parameters. Discussed equipment age and preventative maintenance benefits with customer.
Removed non-functional tankless water heater and installed new wall-mounted unit, utilizing existing 3" ventilation system. Successfully completed all necessary connections including copper and PVC piping, pressure regulator installation, and electrical wiring for the replacement unit.
Replaced leaking 50-gallon Bradford White water heater showing significant rust and corrosion streaks from access panel to drain valve. New unit installed in utility area with proper copper and insulated pipe connections to existing plumbing system.
Diagnosed non-operational Westinghouse electric tankless water heater. Inspected internal components including heat exchanger, wiring connections, and control systems. Due to irreparable condition, completed documentation for replacement unit through emergency service request.
Diagnosed inoperative furnace showing inducer operation but unlit status lights. Found control board relay was buzzing loudly with failing contacts. Temporarily restored operation by tapping relays, but recommended replacement of the control board due to faulty relay. Customer informed that system replacement would be more cost-effective given the unit's age (15 years) and recent repair history. Photos documented the Emerson circuit board with failing Zettler relays and burner assembly inspection.
Performed standard furnace tune-up on 18-year-old natural gas unit. Cleaned flame sensor, conducted electrical testing with all components within specifications. System is operating properly. Customer requires a 4 1/3 replacement filter which has been ordered as it was not available on-site.
Responded to service call for continuously running toilet. Diagnosed issue with malfunctioning fill valve that was not shutting off properly. Replaced fill valve assembly to restore proper tank filling function and eliminate running water problem.
Responded to customer report of burning rubber smell from 20+ year old furnace. Performed comprehensive inspection of system including wires, blower motor, circuit board, and heat exchanger, finding no evidence of burnt components or current odor. System was operating with normal heating function. No further action required, furnace determined to be functioning properly.
Responded to service call regarding hard water concerns. Inspected existing water softener system which appears functional but potentially using excessive salt. Noted significant corrosion at water heater tank inlet connection. Scheduled service advisor to provide customer with appropriate treatment options and pricing.
Responded to no heat call for older furnace exhibiting intermittent heating. Diagnosed issue with insufficient flame carryover across burner assembly. Removed and cleaned crossover burner section to restore proper ignition sequence. System operational upon departure despite overall worn condition of equipment.
