Disconnected hot water baseboard heating system in living room area as requested for remodeling work. Properly capped off supply and return lines after isolation. All other heating zones remain operational while this section undergoes renovation.
Inspected galvanized main water line connection that was flagged during home inspection. Observed existing dielectric union was intact and not leaking. Determined that replacement would create unnecessary risk of breaking the water line below floor level. Recommended maintaining current installation unless leaking occurs, at which point customer should have well technician pull new water line into house.
Responded to service call for leaking bathroom faucet that had caused damage to the lower lever and ceiling. Upon inspection, identified a bad tub spout as the source of the problem. Shut off water supply to the home and replaced the defective tub spout, successfully resolving the leak.
Successfully resolved gas leak at range connection by replacing the faulty connector. Pressure tested the entire system with diagnostic equipment to verify proper operation and ensure no further leaks were present. System now operating normally with safe gas pressure readings.
Responded to customer concern about boiler pressure following recent tune-up and PRV/expansion tank replacement. Conducted comprehensive system inspection, verified proper pressure readings, and observed complete system during warm-up cycle to confirm normal circulation through all zones. All components functioning within specifications with no issues detected.
Diagnosed and replaced failed control board on 24-year-old American Standard furnace that was not igniting due to lack of 24V signal to gas valve. Performed full system check after installation to confirm proper operation.
Performed comprehensive maintenance service on 5-year-old FRP system including furnace and AC units. Furnace service included cleaning flame sensor, flushing condensate line, inspecting heat exchanger and blower wheel, and verifying proper electrical components. AC maintenance revealed weak capacitor which was replaced under warranty (previously serviced for same issue); coil was flushed due to dirt accumulation. System now operating efficiently with proper temperature parameters (50°F rise for furnace, 20°F drop for AC).
Performed scheduled maintenance on 3-year-old Daikin furnace in preparation for heating season. Conducted comprehensive tune-up which revealed significant dust and debris accumulation in ductwork. Visual inspection with borescope confirmed need for duct cleaning service, which was completed to improve system efficiency and indoor air quality.
Diagnosed and resolved no cooling issue on a 5-year-old Carrier A/C unit. System had fan operation but no compressor function due to an out-of-specification capacitor. Replaced capacitor, restoring proper cooling function with amperage readings within normal parameters.
Performed routine furnace tune-up maintenance on Lennox heating system. Cleaned standard components, serviced humidifier drain, and replaced air exchanger filter. System functioning properly with no operational issues identified.
Installed new stem in Woodford frost proof hose Bibb at the front of the house, existing stem handle screw stripped out. Tested as required.
Checked thermostats and elements with multi meter, checked water temp for comparison to t-stats. (124 at utility sink adjacent to water heater).
Today’s visit was to test the water. The water ph is testing at 6ph. This shows the water is acidic that can play a role in break down of copper pipes as swell as water treatment equipment. The water softener is an older system (manufacture recommends replace inc the unit at 10 years) that does not have any pre filtration. There’s signs of hard water indicating the water softener is not working correctly. There was debris in the kitchen faucet which was replaced on January 14 25 and this is not something to expect. The water in the toilet is showing a lot of debris and the copper pipes are showing corrosion. The faucet in the basement was blocked with debris that looked to be the internal walls of the copper pipes. Recommend to start with the water filtration system and replace some fixtures that are affected and possibly a repipe later. Another potential is a venting issue on the sewer that’s causing the downstairs toilet to siphon. Another issue is the galvanized piping on the wate
