Performed routine maintenance on 13-year-old Trane XV95 furnace. Upon inspection, discovered and replaced cracked heat exchanger to ensure safe and efficient system operation. Customer indicated they handle filter cleaning maintenance.
Responded to a no-heat service call for a 10-year-old Bryant furnace. Diagnosed issue as a seizing inducer motor and performed temporary repairs to restore immediate heat. Furnace will require inducer motor replacement; sent specifications to parts department for pricing and warranty information. Customer was informed that we will follow up with replacement options.
Diagnosed low water pressure issue occurring when multiple fixtures were in use simultaneously. Upon inspection, determined that the 11-year-old water softener was causing flow restriction. Bypassed the water softener to restore normal pressure and conducted water hardness testing, which revealed 11+ grains of hardness. Recommended replacement of the aging water softener system.
Responded to emergency call for water heater leak. Discovered water spraying from side of Rheem Professional tanked water heater. Diagnosed failure point, shut off gas and water supply to prevent further damage. Provided customer with replacement quote after determining repair was not economical due to unit condition.
Performed diagnostic service on 8-year-old GE water softener that was failing to complete regeneration cycles properly. Found system overfilling with multiple leaks from the head unit and tested water at 25 grains of hardness, significantly exceeding acceptable levels. Due to extensive corrosion and risk of worsening leaks, placed unit in bypass mode and provided replacement options to customer.
Replaced undersized lower heating element on 100-gallon Westinghouse electric water heater that had failed catastrophically due to extensive corrosion. The original element had deteriorated to the point of complete failure, causing insufficient hot water supply. Installed properly sized replacement heating element to restore normal hot water function under warranty service.
Responded to service call for water heater replacement. Upon arrival, customer requested installation of a 40-gallon standard vent natural gas water heater, but payment arrangements could not be completed as customer's credit card was declined multiple times. Service was not performed as payment could not be secured, and the property owner was out of state.
Performed routine tune-up on 11-year-old furnace system. Inspection revealed cracked heat exchanger, which was promptly replaced. Photographic documentation of metal ductwork and connection points was completed during service.
04/07/25 Rob J II Customer has a water heater that is leaking from the tank. Unfortunately, there is no repair. The unit is only four years old. The customer would like to see if it’s under warranty before moving forward we gave them options for replacement. They’ll reach out when they are ready to move forward.
