Jackson and Sons is top notch! We have used them for years and they and their technicians are are great at what they do. Had the pleasure of meeting Ricardo T. today to perform our bi-annual maintenance. We just got a new system a few months ago and can already tell the difference in our light bill and comfort level. Tech washed and serviced unit per service agreement, tech found no challenges while servicing unit at today’s visit, tech leaked searched the system tech found no leaks at today’s visit, the system is back up and running and holding a delta t of 20+ degrees
Tech arrived and found system would come on and cut right back off, tech found flame sensor needed cleaning and cleaned. Tech found inlet gas pressure low and went to check tank, tech found tank had 5 pounds of lp, tech informed customer they were in need of gas, may have to return for further diagnosis when tank is filled. Tech arrived and found system running but heat strips would not come on, tech found heat sequencers failed and replaced with universal sequencer, tech had to replace terminal block with split bolt due to it breaking when rewiring heat strips, system is back on and operating properly after completion of repair.
Upon arrival tech found blank thermostat, tech found tube fuse blown, tech replaced with 5amp fuse and cycled system. Tech found system heating with no challenges, tech informed customer there would be a additional inspection fee to further diagnose customer declined at this time. Tech washed and serviced unit, no challenges found with system at this time. Tech recommended replacing hard start kit with universal hard start kit. Customer not intrested at this time. Unit is operating properly holding a delta T of 22.
Tech washed and serviced unit, everything with the unit passed inspection but tech noticed delta T was low at 15, tech believes it to be because of old duct work which is the home’s original duct work. Tech reccomended have a field supervisor come out and quote replacement. Customer not interested at this time. Unit is operating properly but has a low delta T of 15.
Tech arrived and customer stated house felt hotter than set temperature, tech inspected temperatures and system and found no challenges system is operating properly and temperatures are testing good.
Upon arrival tech was informed system was running in second stage. Inspected system and found the outdoor TXV to be restricting keep heat pump from working correctly and causing gas heat on dual fuel to run. Tech set thermostat in emergency heat for now and emailed quote for repairs. Customer stated they would also like a quote on a new system. Set lead up with office.
Upon arrival tech was informed system was not heating. Inspected system and found the heat pump running but short cycling. Checked pressures and found suction pressure dropping to around 25 psi before cutting out and piston for outdoor coil and feeder tubes would start to freeze. Checked gas heat operation and gas heat was working. Tech rewired thermostat and programmed for conventional to allow system to still heat. Tech quoted warranty TXV price to make repair and office will email to homeowner. Homeowner will call when ready to move forward. System is currently heating with gas.
Tech dropped off 20x30x1 filter. customer stated that the night after unit was serviced (3 days ago), unit was having trouble reaching desired tempeture. Thermostat was set on 80, indoor temp was 69. Tech could not replicate problem and told customer to give us a call if it happens again.
Tech washed and serviced unit, tech found bacteria build up on blower, recommended plasma air purifier after cleaning blower to keep bacteria build up from coming back and improve IAQ. Customer not interested at this time. Unit is heating with a delta T of 18.
Tech washed and serviced unit and found no challenges at this time. The unit is up heating properly at this time. Customer was not interested in extending at this time wants to speak with wife and possibly call back and extend at a later time.
Found low pressure switch wiring shorted to copper. Repaired wiring and replaced faulty warranty thermostat. System up and heating.
Tech found rollout switch tripped and reset. Tech found flame was extremely bright and loud. Gas pressure was very high at 12.5 inches, tech adjusted to 10 and flame is now good. System is heating properly, supply temp is 90 and climbing.
