Responded to customer residence to advise on installing customer-supplied Nest thermostat for boiler system. Verified unused A terminal wire was not connected to any equipment components. Determined current Nest model requires C wire for proper operation, which is not available in existing wiring configuration. Advised customer on alternative Google thermostat models compatible with no-C-wire installations. Customer elected to obtain compatible model and perform self-installation.
